My introduction to Lia Sophia

I have spent the last 9 or so years of my life avoiding buying things for myself so that I could give the most to my family. I would wait until absolutely needed to buy clothes and shoes, and rarely, if ever, would I buy jewelry.

In October, this changed. My sister Tara decided that our house would be a good location to host a lia sophia show. She invited her friends and had a pretty decent turn out. Melanie, the advisor, played a very fun booking game with us. She tied several ribbons around Tara's wrist, and on the highest ribbon was a fabulous bracelet that fit Tara's style PERFECTLY!! Melanie explained that when all the ribbons were gone, and the bracelet was all that remained, Tara could keep it as an extra gift. As the night went on, there weren't as many ribbons coming off as was needed for Tara and I started to feel bad for her. I decided that I would host a show myself. What would it hurt to get free stuff? I got a discount on my order that night for signing up for a show, and I picked out my hostess piece, which I still LOVE to this day!

As Melanie was giving her presentation, she had us ask her questions about her job. I learned so much about what lia sophia could do for me that day. I was looking for an opportunity to grow personally, socially, and financially. Melanie told me that lia sophia could do all three of these things for me! I told Melanie that night that I would love to hear more about signing up when I got my tax returns.

Well, in November, the time for my show came. I had a very poor turn out, but Melanie was still perfectly willing to do the show and gave me every opportunity to make my goals for free jewelry with outside orders. She was the perfect example of hostess coaching, emailing me daily, asking how I was doing. I had to be creative to get my last couple orders, but I did it and got over $200 in free jewelry! Again, Melanie and I spoke about the opportunity. After getting most of my sales on my own outside of my show, I knew that I could talk to people and help them with their orders, and I was excited. Now to come up with the $149 for the starter kit!

In January, Trevor and I were running errands when I got an email from Melanie. She just wanted to touch base with me and see if I would still be interested in signing up. I was, and let her know that I was still planning on signing up with my tax returns. She emailed me back, and offered to purchase my kit for me if I could host a $1000 show. I figured I was going to do it anyway, why not try to get the kit for free which would be more helpful on the financial side.

Melanie and I booked my Starter show for March 20th. I sent out invites just a little sooner this time, and I talked my party up A LOT!! I made sure that everyone I could think of knew that they were invited to spend this time with me (and I am sure that the chocolate fountain may have helped). This time, with my order collecting, I did so well that I didn't have to be creative to get my orders at all, and I made my goals!

Now I am officially an advisor myself, and I am learning more and more everyday!
